Silver is easily eroded by sulfur steam and sulfureted hydrogen in the hydrogen in the humidity .It would be blackened and this is the condition which we make use of to produce antique silver jewelry.
Usually,there are small quantity of sulfureted hydrogen in the air.So silver jewels faint and become yellow,even black if left in the air for a long time.Besides,ozone in the air may directly function with silver and create black silver oxide.
Attention:when you don't wear the silver jewelry.please airproof it with bags or glass box to protect it from oxdation.
