Michal K.21 July 2022Using mine as a TOSLINK output for a set of Edifier R1280db 2.0 speakers. Works perfectly well for that purpose, even under Linux. I didn't test coaxial output, but optical works just fine. My speakers only do 48kHz PCM, so I wasn't able to test 96kHz operation or Dolby passthrough either, but I can enable them in software at least, so I believe should work. I'm hearing a marked improvement in sound quality, going from my motherboard's onboard DAC to optical + speakers' builtin DAC, so this purchase was definitely worth it.
