This module uses a 62429 dual-channel digital volume adjustment chip, with a quiescent current of only a few mA. But it is worth noting that the problem of the chip itself determines that it can only be used as a volume switch, and cannot replace the potentiometer for raising the bass and adjusting the negative feedback amount. Potentiometer, and the input signal level cannot be higher than 5V, otherwise it will cause distortion. The modified machine may not be able to directly replace the original volume switch, which does not mean that it cannot be used in your machine, as long as it is added between the player signal and the front panel input, it is no problem.
 

A new memory function is added. When the volume is changed from the previous one, the current volume can be memorized for 30 seconds. You can also manually memorize the volume before shutting down, just press mute once and play again.

The principle is to control the volume by adjusting the attenuation of the signal. When the sound is loudest, there is only an input resistance between the signal and the ground, and there is no concept of resistance because it is open for myopia. Some front-end circuits use the resistance of the potentiometer itself to stabilize the bias point. At this time, each channel at the front-end input needs to add an additional resistance to ground (stone machines generally 20-100K tube amplifiers generally 100K-1M grid Pole-to-ground resistance).
 

It has an adjustable range of 0dB--83dB, and it needs to rotate 4 times from the minimum volume to the maximum volume with the 24-bit encoding switch.
 

Rotate the encoding switch to the left and right to get the volume effect of the left small and the right large. The indicator flashes quickly when rotating, and the indicator does not flash when the volume is turned to the minimum or maximum.
